Pengaruh Literasi Keuangan dan Gaya Hidup Terhadap Perilaku Konsumtif Mahasiswa
Abstract
Students’ consumerist behavior remains a problem influenced by low financial literacy and a lifestyle that tends to follow trends. This study aims to determine the influence of financial literacy and lifestyle on the consumerist behavior of students at Alauddin State Islamic University in Makassar. This study employs a quantitative approach using a causal-associative research design. Data were collected through a questionnaire distributed via Google Forms to 32 students selected using purposive sampling. The research instrument used a Likert scale and was analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of the SPSS application. The results indicate that, simultaneously, financial literacy and lifestyle significantly influence students’ consumption behavior, with a significance value of 0.002 < 0.05 and a calculated F-value of 7.647. The coefficient of determination of 0.345 indicates that financial literacy and lifestyle can explain 34.5% of consumptive behavior, while the remainder is influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study. Partially, financial literacy has a significant effect on consumptive behavior, whereas lifestyle does not have a significant effect.
