(2) and to find out how social changes can cause someone to opposing the social status in that occurs in the novel Pride and Prejudice. In this case the research method used is descriptive qualitative method. To identify and analyze data. The data sources of this study were novel, journals and web articles related to social changes It can be concluded that social change occurred during the romanticism period as created in the novel Pride and Prejudice.
